Nuclear Cardiac Stress Imaging

A nuclear exercise stress test is a diagnostic tool used to assess blood flow to the heart. It involves injecting a small amount of radioactive tracer into a vein, which is then detected by a gamma camera to create detailed images of the heart. When combined with exercise, this test helps evaluate whether the heart receives sufficient blood flow during physical activity compared to when at rest.
